Enjoy Our 24 Hour Tour From Bali To Ijen Crater

Our Ijen Expedition Team will pick you up from Denpasar Airport, Kuta, Ubud, Sanur, or wherever to pick up the place you choose with an air-conditioned vehicle to take you to the westernmost part of Bali, namely Gilimanuk port.

And our next route will take you to the city of Banyuwangi (The Sunrise of Java) by ferry. It takes 1 hour to reach Ketapang Harbor. When you will arrive in Banyuwangi, the time changes to one hour later. Not WITA (Central Indonesian Time) but using WIB (Western Indonesian Time).

Finally, you have arrived in Banyuwangi. Welcome to the city of Banyuwangi, the easternmost part of Java Island. From there, around 12.00 we will take you to Paltuding Rest Area (it will take 1-1.5 hours).

During the trip, you will be spoiled with various kinds of beautiful places. Like the green rice fields, beautiful new places, and the friendly faces of the humble Banyuwangi people, as well as the cool air in the countryside.

From the Paltuding Area, around 01.30, you will start climbing towards Mount Ijen. It will take 1 hour. The Mount Ijen track continues with a sloping and uphill track, little by little.

The trails are reasonably well maintained in good condition and views of the rounded volcanoes and luxurious vegetation will accompany your journey.

The blue flames are ignited by sulfurous gas, which rises from the cracks at temperatures of up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). The gases come directly from the magmatic chambers beneath the volcano. The fire height can reach 5 meters; some of the gas condenses to liquid and still burns.

It is the world's largest blue fire area and one of the purest sulfur mines. The escaping volcanic gas is channeled through a network of ceramic pipes, resulting in condensation of molten sulfur.

Sulfur, which is dark red when it melts, flows slowly from the ends of these pipes and pools in the ground, turning bright yellow as it cools.

The miners break the cooled material into large pieces and carry them in baskets. Miners carry loads ranging from 75 kilograms to 90 kilograms, up to 300 meters to the crater rim, with a slope of 45 to 60 degrees and Most miners make this journey twice a day (source from Wikipedia).

After enjoying the beauty of the blue fire, it's time to see the beautiful sunrise that has ever existed in East Java.
